Smells like a scam

Lowe’s remodel services are a scam. My parents’ kitchen is “currently” being remodeled by Lowe’s. It began around Sept. 26 and was to be done by the end of October. It is nowhere close to being done, no lights, floor is very unlevel, everything is damaged and crooked, no one has been there to work on it in more than two weeks, and Lowe’s either doesn’t respond or says they don’t know what to do.

This is after causing my parents to pay almost three times the amount quoted, denying things they talked about (my mom has emails) and never showing up.

It sure seems like a scam because they told them everything they wanted to hear, tore their kitchen apart and held it ransom for more money. Now that they know they are not getting any more money out of them and it might cost them some money to finish it, they are not there and will not respond. That spells scam to me.

So to those of you that are thinking of remodeling part of your house and Lowe’s is on your list of potential contractors, do yourself a favor and cross them off and go with someone else. Even if they quote you the lowest price, you will be paying more, a lot more, than just even money.
