The public does not forget

I couldn’t agree more with both Ted Fuller (CDT, 1/1) and state Rep. Greg Vitali, D-Delaware/Montgomery, about Pennsylvania government members submitting bills to be passed with other issues that threaten to disable the environmental provisions to make energy more user friendly. The state Senate has inserted moves to disable the energy programs already approved and are more than likely getting benefits from oil/gas companies to do this.

I agree with Fuller that the CDT should perhaps initiate some investigation into which legislators are working for the citizens of Pennsylvania and make public every single member’s name who submits these bills for his or her own personal benefit, so the citizens of this state can use this information in the next election. Legislators do not and will not want their views in these situations to be printed in public newspapers or local media for fear they will lose their comfortable seats and have to join the working class.

Pa. legislators are not going to want their name attached to any bills that will bring public scrutiny or changes against what the public has voted for and which are only self-serving personal opinions of their own!

The overburdened legislature of this state needs to be pared down now and not just talking about it! This has been brought up many times over the past few years and they keep ignoring action on it in the hopes that people will forget about it!

Well I have news for these reps: The public does not forget!
