Support for Sanders
I support Bernie Sanders for president because he knows the deep divide between rich and poor is making democracy in the U.S. unattainable. He knows people are dying because of poverty and racism.
Sen. Sanders stands up for Americans like me and people with much less money than me. He wants to re-energize democracy. Real democracy. Sanders is for black people, working people, poor people of all races and ethnic backgrounds, and women.
Most importantly, he is for campaign finance reform and meaningful, major changes in how we tax wealth and treat Wall Street swindlers. Sanders has the courage to tax extreme wealth (I’ve read his tax bracket proposal and it is actually moderate compared to Depression-era levels of taxation).
Sanders wants to treat Wall Street criminals as criminals and not gentle billionaires who need more money (of all things). We need this in America. This is why Sanders has wide appeal and why some media outlets do not want to point this out.
Most of all I support Sanders because he is courageous. We need his leadership now.
