Support Clean Power Plan

With climate change named the biggest global economic threat by the World Economic Forum, climate action like the Clean Power Plan is more important than ever.

An expert analysis released in early January stated that leaders from around the globe are all concerned about one thing: climate change.

A World Economic Forum survey found that climate change is the No. 1 issue that is the “growing cause of instability around the world,” according to hundreds of experts from business, academia, civil society and elsewhere. As momentum for climate action grows, congressional climate deniers are finding themselves out of sync with the two-thirds of American people who support federal action to address climate change.

The Environmental Protection Agency’s Clean Power Plan doesn’t just reduce the carbon pollution that drives climate change. It also will provide an estimated $93 billion in health and economic benefits. These critical safeguards will create thousands of clean energy jobs and even can save consumers money on their monthly electricity bills. We can’t afford to ignore the threat of climate change. It’s time to take action by supporting the Clean Power Plan.
