Another tragedy

Sad news that another pedestrian was killed by a motorist near the university Wednesday.

Anyone who tries to use crosswalks in State College knows that you risk your life in in doing so — many motorists simply will not stop for you.

Pedestrians and bicyclists are killed by motorists at a high rate for a community this size. Motorists are often not held accountable.

Unlike other campus communities, signs are not in place reminding motorists to heed pedestrians. Our police forces are failing to protect our citizens with tragic results.
