I would like to commend U.S. Rep. Glenn “GT” Thompson, who was recently part of my jury pool at the courthouse in Bellefonte.
I know that Thompson could have easily bowed out of jury duty, due to his obligations as our congressman. However, I believe his willingness to carry out his civic duty and his role as an active member of our community is of great importance to Thompson.
Regardless of one’s political leaning, it’s tough to argue that Thompson does not lead by example. If more elected officials took notes from him, we all might be in a much better place.
