Toll Brothers and Ferguson Township have lost their fight against the community in the commonwealth court. This would be a graceful moment to step out of this project.
If this project did go through after court appeals, and our water does end up getting contaminated, Penn State as seller of the land will not come out looking very good from this situation.
We residents are frequently criticized for being against growth. Remember, not all growth is positive. An example is a cancerous growth. The Toll Brothers project has caused deep fissures within our community and falls under the malignant growth category.
Penn State needs to listen to State College residents and not sell their land to Toll Brothers for luxury student housing.
