On Aug. 5 an important event occurred in Bellefonte. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was held for the new Waterfront. Mayor Thomas Wilson, Sen. Jake Corman, Rep. Kerry Benninghoff, county Commissioner Michael Pipe, Borough Council President Gay Dunne, Bellefonte Area Industrial Development Authority Chairman Matt Hill and past Bellefonte Borough Council President and Vice Chairman of BAIDA Frank Halderman spoke and cut the ribbon.
There was no mention in the CDT, which I find extremely disappointing. The waterfront is a beautiful site and a point of pride for Bellefonte and will be enjoyed by many visitors far and wide.
Whoever at the CDT made the decision to ignore this event made a big mistake, and I am sure I am not the only person who is unhappy with that decision.
