Character, knowledge missing

Donald Trump is a narcissistic playboy, now in his third marriage. He asserted that avoiding STDs was his “personal Vietnam.”

Trump’s campaign continuously exploits fears of immigrants. When challenged by the Khans, immigrant parents of a soldier who died a hero, Trump insulted them and asserted that his own “sacrifice” has been the buildings he constructed and men he hired. Some “sacrifice!” He faulted John McCain for being captured during the Vietnam War, while Trump himself was a draft dodger.

He insulted most of his primary opponents, including these misogynistic words about his sole female opponent, Carly Fiorina: “Look at that face! Would anyone vote for that?”

He’s gone off the deep end recently, claiming to his impassioned followers that President Barack Obama is the “founder of ISIS.” After defending that absurd attack for two days, he changed his tune in a tweet: “They don’t get sarcasm?” This is a typical flip-flop in his campaign.

One final point: Trump tweeted, “The concept of global warming was created by and for the Chinese in order to make U.S. manufacturing non-competitive.” The reality is very different. A joint report from the prestigious U.S. National Academy of Sciences and the United Kingdom’s Royal Society states that “Climate change is the defining issue of our time. It is now more certain than ever, based on many lines of evidence, that humans are changing Earth’s climate.”

Donald Trump lacks both the character and knowledge needed for the presidency.
