A fascinating post

I recently viewed the slides on why Olympic gold medalists bite their medals.

The tradition was that miners bit their gold nuggets to figure out if it was real gold or pyrite. This tradition has carried on from that time. Olympians began doing this in the 1920s.

I also thought it was interesting that biting gold either cracks or damages your teeth.

I believe it is so cool how many facts are reported on this topic. This was most definitely my favorite post I have ever viewed and would like the CDT to write more stories like it.
