Dan Roan was a dual threat for Pleasant Gap in a 10-0 rout of the Clarence Coyotes in five innings on Sunday.

Roan was the winning pitcher on the mound, surrendering just two hits. In the third inning, Roan’s grand slam was the highlight of the Peppers’ five-run inning.

Trent Fortney led Pleasant Gap with two RBIs.

Clarence, which was coming off its first win of the season on Thursday, had the two hits from Tanner Light and Jon Romine.

Braves edge Ducks in 11

Trailing by three runs after two innings, Spring Mills had to rally — and it did with a 4-3 win in 11 innings over Lemont.

The Braves picked up a two-run double from Kevin Sweeley in the fourth inning to get within one. They then tied the game in the seventh inning when Colton Treaster drove in Micah Schrenkle with a double.

Cody Luse, who was the winning pitcher, threw all of the innings for Spring Mills and drove in the winning run.

The Ducks started off well thanks to Kieran Kempton two-run double in the first inning and then Matt Hutchinson had a sacrifice fly in the second inning to score the final run of the game.
