Boys Lacrosse
Souderton 16, North Penn 4 >> Brody Anderson finished with six goals, three ground balls and two caused turnovers as Souderton built an 11-2 halftime lead and topped North Penn in Monday's SOL National contest to snap a two-game skid.
Liam Murray had two goals, three assists, four ground balls, three caused turnovers and was 1-for-1 on faceoffs for the Indians (5-5, 4-1 conference). Logan Blair added three goals and three ground balls while Owen Kleppinger scored twice.
Logan Cornes, Chris Tuohey, Max Ryon each had a goal with Cornes collecting two ground balls and a caused turnover and Ryon recording three ground balls and two caused turnovers. Cam Ruff contributed an assist.
Andrew Rivera made five saves for Big Red while Bryaden Sam posted one save. Alex Benfield had three ground balls and three caused turnovers, Alex Frazier had a ground ball and a caused turnover while Dan Trumbore and Shaun Whitcomb had a ground ball each.
Landon Moore was 5-for-9 on faceoffs and had four ground balls. Carter Henning was 4-for-8 on faceoffs and had two ground balls. Noah Lisius went 1-for-2 on faceoffs.
North Penn (2-9, 1-4) lost its third straight.
Pennridge 14, Pennsbury 13 >> Matteo Fanelli had five goals, including the game-winning tally, and an assist as Pennridge edged Pennsbury for a road SOL National win.
Sean Leuthe scored five times while Reid Moyer finished with three goals and four assists for the Rams (7-4, 4-1 conference), who outscored the Falcons 5-2 after trailing 11-9 at the start of the fourth quarter.
Harrison Cranage collected two assists, Gage Gottshalk had a goal while Kaiden Nguyen had an assist. Cole Nitterour won 20 of 28 faceoffs. Pennridge goalie Justin Gramlich made three saves.
Girls Lacrosse
Souderton 14, North Penn 12 >> Carly Gavetti and Caroline Kelcy both scored four goals as Souderton earned its fourth straight win in the SOL National matchup.
Gavetti also had three assists, a caused turnover and a ground ball with Kelcy collecting a caused turnover, a draw control and a ground ball. Addid Yost finished with two goals, an assist, three draw controls, three ground balls and a caused turnover for the Indians (9-4, 3-3 conference).
Aly Hassett added a goal, seven draw controls, three caused turnovers and three ground balls. Rae Wallace had a goal, three assists and four ground balls while goalie Nika Fulginiti made nine saves.
Marie Bussom totaled a goal, an assist, four ground balls, a caused turnover and a draw control, Cameron Bauer had a goal, a caused turnover and a draw control while Tori Puente collected a caused turnover and a ground ball.
Maddie Gorman and Mila Bogozinski both scored five goals for North Penn (4-8, 2-4). Joelle Davenport and Lieka Keijzer both had a goal with Davenport providing an assist. Quinn Rodoff handed out two assists, Kelly Woolaver had one assist while goalie Caylynn Thompson made nine saves.
Upper Merion 15, Pottstown 0 >> Gabby Callison collected two goals and four assists, Mackenzie Davis finished with three goals and two assists and Upper Merion rolled to a PAC Frontier win.
Peyton Becker and Sydney Marchese both scored twice while Chloe Wardlow, Maura Besz and Jess Reinhardt each had a goal and two assists for the Vikings (11-3, 7-2 PAC, 6-0 PAC Frontier). Sydney Reed and AVa Holbrook both had a goal and assist, Rya Devers added a goal while Courtney Lamey had an assist, two caused turnovers and a ground ball. UM goalie Nancy Castro Medina made three saves.
Boys Volleyball
Central Bucks South 3, Souderton 0 >> Souderton's Sawyer Jones had 17 kills and eight digs as the Indians were swept 25-16, 26-24, 25-20 in the SOL American Conference match.
Caleb Pringle posted 13 kills and 11 digs with Kirsh Patel having 24 assists and eight digs for Souderton (2-10, 1-8 conference). Teddy Sherman and Dylan Himes both had 10 digs.
