Killington, Vermont, Confirms Memorial Day Weekend Ski Plans
If you've spent the past few days staring at Killington's webcams watching the snow melt and wondering how they could stay open for Memorial Day Weekend, you can stop worrying. The resort just confirmed that yes, it plans to spin the Superstar Six lift.
The Superstar slope-an impressive stretch of snow manicured to keep the season going as long as possible-will be open for skiing this Friday, May 22, and Saturday, May 23, 2026, conditions permitting.
Around midday on Saturday, Killington plans to assess the snow and determine if continuing the party for one last day on Sunday, May 24, is possible. It'll share those findings on social media and in its mountain report.
"The recent stretch of warm weather hasn't been kind to the snowpack, but our grooming team is doing what they do best to keep the turns going as long as possible," Killington explained in a social media post.
Here's a look at planned ski operations for the Superstar Six.
- Friday, May 22, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m
- Saturday, May 23 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Pending announcement regarding snow conditions: Sunday, May 24 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
To celebrate the end of the season, lift tickets to the resort on Saturday and-if possible-Sunday are $40, with proceeds going towards the Killington Rec Department's fund for constructing a new town pool.
It won't be a single sport weekend. Killington's golf course is already open, and the mountain plans to spin the Snowshed Express Quad starting on Friday, with access to the Snowshed pod of the bike park.
In honor of the upcoming holiday, Killington is offering free biking and golfing to active duty, honorably discharged, and retired members of the U.S. Military on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25.
Out West, a few more resorts are hanging on like Timberline Lodge, Mammoth Mountain, and Palisades Tahoe.
