3 from area named to FloWrestling All-American 1st team

Bishop McCort Catholic's Bo Bassett (144 pounds) and Melvin Miller (157) and Chestnut Ridge's Kooper Deputy (106) each were named to the FloWrestling All-American first team.

Bassett, a Virginia Tech signee, went 44-0 with 35 technical falls as a senior, which finished with his third PIAA Class 2A title. Bassett concluded a 170-0 career with 111 tech falls and 44 pins. His 170 wins without a loss is a state record. He earned the Junior Dan Hodge Trophy as the top high school wrestler in 2025-26.

Miller was 54-1 as a junior in 2025-26. He compiled 29 technical falls and 17 pins. The Virginia Tech commit earned his third straight PIAA Class 2A crown. He is 160-5 over his career with 72 tech falls and 38 pins. Miller is ranked No. 1 in FloWrestling's pound-for-pound rankings of the 2027 class.

Deputy finished a perfect 52-0 as a freshman with a PIAA Class 2A championship. He totaled 43 pins and was dominant in earning District 5 and Southwest Regional crowns along the way.

The rest of the first team included Rylan Seacrist (113), Landon Sidun (120), Antonio Mills (126), Jayden Raney (132), Moses Mendoza (138), Kellen Wolbert (150), Jayden James (165), Mario Carini (175), Adam Waters (190), Maximus Konopka (215) and Dreshaun Ross (285).
