Conemaugh Township's Colin Dinyar repeats as Somerset County MVP
Conemaugh Township senior Colin Dinyar was named Somerset County most valuable player for the second straight season.
Dinyar, a Pitt-Johnstown baseball signee, batted .538 with eight doubles, four triples, three home runs, 29 RBIs, 12 stolen bases, a .631 on-base percentage and a .923 slugging percentage at the plate. The right-hander went 7-1 on the mound with a 1.69 ERA and 68 strikeouts in 45 2/3 innings.
North Star sophomore Wyatt Mosgrave earned the Heart of the Game award, and Conemaugh Township's Tim Doyle was voted coach of the year for the second year in a row.
The rest of the first team includes Berlin Brothersvalley's Nick Koval, Conemaugh Township's Bryce Conn, Meyersdale's Aiden Thomas and Cole Yoder, North Star's Noah Holcomb, Rockwood's Nate Show, Shanksville-Shade's Grant Boozer, and Windber's Cole Mash and Ike Serenko.
Berlin Brothersvalley's Levi Leonard, Conemaugh Township's D.J. Bambino and Kaden Valentine, Meyersdale's Carter Vogt and Spencer Whitfield, Rockwood's Garrison Hale and Eli Show, Shanksville-Shade's Lincoln Saylor and Windber's Lucas Rummel and Logan Serenko make up the second team.
Honorable mention consists of Berlin Brothersvalley's Josh Brinton, Cohen Clark, Logan Karwatsky and Max Terry; Conemaugh Township's Greyson Studer and Gabe Valentine; North Star's Bryson Durst, Brady Meyers and Max Pristas; Rockwood's Cooper Harbaugh, Jack Sembower and Lane Svonavec; Shanksville-Shade's Jack Carter and Matt Miller; Turkeyfoot Valley's Lee Bowers and Corbin Stimmell; and Windber's Dylan Woodruff.
