FIFA Wants Justin Bieber For World Cup Final's Halftime Show

With the World Cup final set for July 19, FIFA is working awfully hard to get a top-tier singer for its halftime show at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

It was announced in May that Madonna, Shakira and BTS would co-headline FIFA's halftime show for the final. Their show will support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which tries to help children get access to quality education and soccer opportunities.

"Madonna, Shakira and BTS are global icons whose music transcends borders and generations, and we are proud to welcome them to the first-ever FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show curated by Chris Martin of Coldplay," said FIFA President Gianni Infantino.

"As the world comes together for the biggest match in football on 19 July 2026 in New York New Jersey, this historic show will also shine a light on a greater purpose by supporting the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund and our shared mission to expand access to quality education and football opportunities for children worldwide. It will be a celebration of football, unity and shared humanity that will resonate far beyond the final whistle."

Well, it sounds like FIFA isn't satisfied with that star-studded trio performing at MetLife Stadium.

Going all in for Justin Bieber?

According to TMZ, Justin Bieber is in talks to perform at the World Cup final.

"Justin Bieber may be headed to one of the biggest stages in sports … 'cause TMZ has learned he's in talks to perform at halftime of the FIFA World Cup final," TMZ reported.

This news has Bieber fans excited about the possibility of him performing on such a massive stage. Of course, there are some people who would prefer for FIFA to keep the focus on Shakira.

"Please fifa don't let us down, I need this man to sing for THE FINAAAAL," one of Bieber's fans wrote on X.

"My God," a second fan commented. "The biggest World Cup in history."

"There's gonna be one less lonely goal," another fan joked.

"I'm a fan but I don't think his vibe matches the World Cup," another person argued. "Shakira classics would be fun."

For what it's worth, Bieber attended the FIFA World Cup opening ceremony in California.

We'll see if FIFA strikes a deal with Bieber in the coming days.
