Tennis Star Amanda Anisimova Shares Swimsuit Selfie After Wimbledon Exit
Although her run at Wimbledon ended in disappointing fashion, American tennis star Amanda Anisimova seems to be in good spirits this week.
Anisimova made it to the Wimbledon final in 2025 before suffering a 6-0, 6-0 loss to Iga Swiatek on Centre Court. One year later, she was eliminated in the third round. She had 42 unforced errors in a 3-6, 6-2, 6-3 to Madison Keys.
"It's been really, really tough," Anisimova said. "I feel like I'm doing everything I can and working really hard. So for my game to still be at this point, it's really hard to digest and take."
Anisimova continued, "For me, it wasn't enjoyable to play out there today with my tennis being like that. It was really, really tough. And when I'm happy and I'm enjoying it, it's when I'm able to play my tennis. But when I'm not able to make one forehand in the court, it's really, really hard. So, I don't know. I need to go home and take some time and figure out how I can fix this."
Before Anisimova gets back on court to work through her struggles, she revealed that she's getting "some vitamin D."
Anisimova, a two-time Grand Slam finalist, posted a swimsuit selfie on Instagram this week. It didn't take long for the tennis community to send her encouraging messages.
What's next for Anisimova?
As of now, it's unclear when we'll see Anisimova back on the court. At the minimum, we'd have to imagine she'll compete at the Cincinnati Masters in August.
Unfortunately for Anisimova, she had dropped to No. 8 in the live WTA rankings. She'll need a strong run at the US Open in order to remain in the top 10.
The good news for Anisimova is that she's no stranger to New York's bright lights. Her run to last year's final in Queens was nothing short of sensational.
