Penn State softball duo earns NFCA honors

LOUISVILLE, Ky.

Penn State softball senior Macy Jones earned NFCA All-Great Lakes Region first team honors and senior Lexi Knief earned third team honors, the athletic department announced on Thursday.

The award was the first of Jones’ career and the second for Knief.

Jones, a starting outfielder who tallied 18 multi-hit games and 10 multi-RBI games and Knief, who had 57 hits (13 doubles and three triples) helped Penn State to a 30-24 (14-9) record this season.
