Pirates roll over Coyotes in County League baseball

Parker Watson pitched five innings of one-hit ball while the Spike Island Pirates’ offense errupted for a dozen hits in an 11-2 win over the Clarence Coyotes.

The Pirates (4-1) took control with a four-run third inning, highlighted by a Brandon Quay RBI single and a Matt McCamley two-run double. McCamley had two doubles and Quay registered four singles in the win.

Ryan Marcinko capped the win with a three-run single in the seventh inning.

Tyler Schal took the loss, and Jeff Bennett doubles for the Coyotes (1-5).
