Hawks fly past Ducks in County League baseball

Howard pounded out 15 hits and pulled away from Lemont 13-0 at Spring Creek Park on Tuesday.

The Hawks pulled away with nine runs over the fifth and sixth innings, taking advantage of three Duck errors in a five-run sixth. Evan Gettig and Scott Zuback paced the Hawk offense with a triple and three singles while knocking in two runs each. Brandon Gettig added three hits of his own and Kyle Womer tripled and knocked in two runs.

Calvin Sichler had a single and double for Lemont, which is still winless on the season.
