State College earns Legion baseball win

A three-run fifth inning helped lift State College past Clarence 4-3 Tuesday.

Zach Ripka and Oliver Daily each had RBI singles, with another run scoring on a wild pitch in the fifth for State College (2-0).

Sam Plafcan pitched a complete game for the win, while Tyler Hall was 2 for 2 with a double and two runs scored. Josh Gardiner’s RBI double in the fourth accounted for the team’s other run.

Rob Guenot was 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI, and also took the loss for Clarence.
