Spring Mills outlasts Lemont in County League

The Spring Mills Braves used a four-run fifth inning to pull away from the Lemont Ducks for an 11-8 Centre County Baseball League victory Sunday afternoon.

A two-run double for Taylor Wingard and an RBI double from Micah Shrenkle helped the Braves to the lead in the fifth.

Cody Luse was 3 for 3, scoring three runs and knocking in two more for the Braves, while Brandon Martz cracked a three-run home run and Rich Auman earned the win.

Calvin Sichler had the hot bat for the Ducks with a pair of RBI triples as part of a 3 for 4 day, Matt Hutchison ripped a two-run homer and Zach Williams singled, doubled and knocked in two runs. Tyler Yazujian took the loss.
