Bellefonte earns American Legion baseball win

A five-run first inning put Bellefonte in the lead for good in a 10-8 American Legion victory over DuBois at Governor’s Park on Tuesday.

RBI singles from Ryan McElwee and Jon Montressor, and a two-run single from Darren Heeman, highlighted the first inning, Montressor added a three-run homer in the fourth, and Dylan Deitrich tripled for Bellefonte (3-1).

Gehrig Schuster pitched six innings for the win.
