Mounties earn County League baseball win over Hawks

The Clarence Mounties plated five runs in the first two innings to beat the Howard Hawks 10-4 Thursday.

A Chuck Probst RBI single and an error led to a pair of first-inning runs, and a Justin Koleno two-run single contributed to a three-run second. Derek Jabco later added a two-run triple, and Bryce Greene belted a pair of doubles for the Mounties (11-0). Kalen Gearhart pitched four innings for the victory.

Evan and Brandon Gettig each had three singles for the Hawks (8-5), with Brian Pelka taking the loss.
