SPRING MILLS

Cody Luse was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth inning to force home the game-winning run in a 7-6 Spring Mills victory over Howard on Tuesday.

The Braves loaded the bases without an out in the ninth, and saw the next batter ground into a force-out at home before Luse was hit to earn the walk-off win.

A Brandon Martz RBI single in the sixth tied the game to force extra innings.

Luse earned the win in relief of Rich Auman, who struck out five over eight innings. Micah Schrenkel led the offense with three hits.
