Howard wins in walk-off fashion

A Dylan Womer walk-off single handed Howard a 6-5 win over Lemont in the ninth frame on Sunday afternoon.

The Hawks now lead their three-game playoff series with the Ducks 1-0.

Brian Pelka earned the win for Howard, who peppered 14 hits off the Lemont pitching corps.

The teams will face off again at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
