Clarence Mounties stretch championship series lead

From CDT Staff reports

The Clarence Mounties squeaked past Howard on a reported error on Sunday night to push their lead in the Centre County Baseball League championship series to 2-0.

The Mounties beat the Hawks 2-1 behind a complete game thrown by Ryan MacNamara.

With the game tied at one apiece in the top of the seventh, Chuck Probst tapped one to short, and it was bobbled to allow Justin Koleno to score from second base.

The Hawks and the Mounties face off for Game 3 at Clarence on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
