Swimming adds Posegay to staff

Penn State has added Erik Posegay to the coaching staff.

Posegay had been the head coach and CEO of the North Baltimore Aquatic Swim Club, and will primarily work with distance, medley and stroke events. The Allentown native had been at the NBAC since 2011 and helped train four swimmers who competed at the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, as well as a number of Paralympians.

“We are excited to welcome Erik, his wife Stevie, and daughter, Avery, to the Penn State swimming and diving family,” head coach Tim Murphy said in a statement. “Erik’s coaching experiences bring a unique and dynamic addition to our staff that our athletes and program will benefit from for years to come.”

Penn State opens its season Oct. 6 against Towson.
