Penn State women’s cross country team finishes 3rd at invitational
The Penn State women’s cross country team took third place at the Roy Griak Invitational on Saturday.
Portland took first with a score of 74, followed by Michigan State (127) and the Nittany Lions (147).
Jillian Hunsberger finished ninth (22:06), Tessa Barrett was 12th (22:08) and Elizabeth Chikotas took 13th (22:09) to pace Penn State.
The Penn State men’s team finished 19th in the 29-team field.
Colin Abert was the Nittany Lions’ top runner with a 41st-place finish (25:53).
The team hosts the Penn State Open on Oct. 14.
