Penn State women’s tennis earns wins at Penn tournament

In the opening matches at the Penn Invitational, Penn State’s Devan McCluskey, Dasha Sapagova, Samantha Smith, Shannon Hanley and Liyin Xu all earned singles wins Friday.

Taylor Shukow, Bennett Dunn, Jacqueline Zuhse and Katia Blik all dropped their opening matches.

In doubles, Zuhse and Dunn won their first match while setbacks were suffered by the teams of Shukow and Sapogova, Smith and Hanley, and McCluskey and Blik.
