Field hockey’s Rizzo earns Big Ten honor
Sophomore goalkeeper Jenny Rizzo was named Big Ten Co-Defensive Player of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.
Rizzo, who propelled the Nittany Lions to a pair of wins over No. 11 Princeton and Michigan State, recorded a season-high eight saves against the Tigers.
Rizzo ranks second in the Big Ten with a .710 save percentage.
This is her first Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week award.
