Shane Ryan provided the highlight of Penn State’s performance at the Ohio State Fall Invitational on Friday.
Ryan won the men’s 50 freestyle with a time of 19.77, contributing to the Nittany Lions’ score of 116 points, good for fifth place. The Penn State women’s team sits in seventh place after scoring 61 points.
Penn State’s Casey Francis took ninth in the women’s 500 freestyle with a time of 4:48.51, and teammate Katie Saloky finished 10th in the women’s 50 freestyle with a time of 23.00.
The invitational continues Saturday.
