Penn State women’s swimming and diving splits with Rutgers, Yale

Penn State’s sweep of the 500 freestyle podium highlighted the Nittany Lions split with Rutgers (204-148 win) and Yale (215-137 loss) on Saturday.

Casey Francis won the event for Penn State in 4:51.81. Teammates Ally McHugh finished second in 4:54.96 and Katelyn Sowinski was third in 4:56.22.

McHugh also won the 400 IM in 4:18.69.

McHugh and Francis also finished 1-2 in the 1,000 freestyle with almost identical times on Friday. McHugh touched in 9:53.82 and Francis in 9:53.85.
