Men’s tennis opens play at ITA Kickoff Weekend

CHAPEL HILL, N.C.

Penn State opened play at the ITA Kickoff Weekend with a 4-1 loss to Vanderbilt on Friday at North Carolina’s Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center.

The Nittany Lions won only one event, as Ben Lieb defeated Panu Virtanen (6-4, 6-4).

Otherwise, it was all Commodores. Vanderbilt won the remainder of singles events and both doubles matchups.

Penn State faces Notre Dame on Saturday.
