Penn State women’s gymnastics falls to Illinois

Penn State won two individual events in its 195.625-193.250 loss to No. 21 Illinois on Sunday.

Nicole Medvitz recorded a season-best 9.925 to first first on the balance beam for the Nittany Lions, and Briannah Tsang won the vault with a season-best 9.875.

Penn State’s Kristen Politz tied for second on the uneven bars (9.825).

Penn State hosts Michigan State at 4 p.m. Saturday.
