The Penn State women’s gymnastics team announced the addition of two new assistant coaches on Friday — Dallas Becerra, who coached at Eastern Michigan last season, and Robert Drass, a Penn State alum who coached Missouri for 14 years.

The hires were made by Sarah Brown, who was tabbed last month as the Nittany Lions’ new head coach.

“The relationships I’ve built with these two men (over) the last few years will allow us to hit the ground running when they’re on campus,” Brown said in a written statement. “I’ve had great experiences with each of them, and I look forward to them being in Happy Valley.”

Becerra worked under Brown at EMU, where he also served as recruiting coordinator. Drass, an Altoona native, graduated from Penn State in 1990 and was the head coach at Missouri from 1999 to 2013. He most recently served as the assistant head coach at Pitt.
