Penn State football’s ‘Lift for Life’ set for July 15
Penn State football’s annual “Life for Life” event, which raises money to fight rare diseases, will take place at 11 a.m. July 15 at Holuba Hall.
The event will again feature the offense taking on the defense in a series of competitions that include an obstacle course, sand bag stack, sled pull and push, shuttle run and tug of war. Money raised will help support the Penn State Chapter of Uplifting Athletes, which fights rare diseases.
Doors open at 10:30 a.m., and there is a suggested donation of $5 for children and $10 for adults. The team will also conduct a kids clinic from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at a cost of $15 per child — and participants will receive a T-shirt.
Those who can’t attend but still wish to donate can do so at pledgeit.org/team/psu-lift-for-life-2017.

“I am honored to be joining Penn State, and I look forward to working closely with everyone there,” Boland said in a written statement.
Boland earned a bachelor’s degree from Columbia, where he competed in football and wrestling, and a juris doctorate from Samford’s Cumberland School of Law.
