Penn State cross country announces 2017 schedule

Penn State announced its 2017 cross country schedule on Thursday afternoon, featuring four regular season meets prior to postseason competition.

The campaign started on Sept. 1 at the Dolan Duals at Lock Haven University against the Bald Eagles. One week later, Penn State hosts the Harry Groves Spiked Shoe Invitational at the Blue-White Golf Course.

After three weeks off, Penn State travels to Oklahoma for the Cowboy Jamboree Invite on Sept. 30. Then the Nittany Lions host the Penn State National on Oct. 13, wrapping up the regular season.

The Big Ten Championships — hosted by Indiana — take place on Oct. 29 before Penn State heads to Lehigh for the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships on Nov. 10.

The cross country season comes to a close at the NCAA Championships on Nov. 18.
