Women’s soccer
PSU ties Rutgers
The Penn State women’s soccer team played Rutgers to a scoreless tie in double overtime Thursday night.
Rose Chandler made three saves for the Nittany Lions, while Scarlet Knights goalie Casey Murphy recorded two saves. Rutgers (9-2-4, 3-2-3 Big Ten) outshot Penn State 13-11. Emily Ogle recorded two shots on goal for Penn State.
Penn State (9-3-2, 5-1-2) returns to action at Maryland at 1 p.m. Sunday.
Ability Athletics
PSU to host fall clinics
UNIVERSITY PARK Penn State Ability Athletics will hold three clinics this fall, the program announced Thursday.
The first will be a free sled hockey clinic from 6:15-7:45 p.m. Saturday at Pegula Ice Arena. The program will host a Paralympic clinic Oct. 22 from 1-3 p.m. at the Multi-Sport Complex, featuring wheelchair basketball, powerlifting, hand cycling and track and field.
The “Run, Walk and Roll” rally will round out the clinics Nov. 4 at 9 a.m. It costs $15 to register for the event, which will benefit the Ability Athletics team.
