Women’s basketball

Lady Lions rally for win over Fordham

UNIVERSITY PARK The Penn State women’s basketball team rallied from a fourth-quarter deficit to slip past Fordham 65-60 Wednesday at the Bryce Jordan Center.

Teniya Page paced the Lady Lions with a game-high 27 points on 11-of-15 shooting, while Amari Carter added 19 points in the winning effort. Page also had eight rebounds and five assists.

Fordham led by seven heading into the fourth quarter, but Penn State outscored the opposition 23-11 in the final period.

The Lady Lions are now 8-2 with the win, while Fordham falls to 4-3 with the loss. PSU will next take on St. Bonaventure at 7 p.m. Saturday on the road.

Men’s gymnastics

Scrimmage open to fans

UNIVERSITY PARK The Penn State men’s gymnastics team is set to hold an intrasquad scrimmage at 3:45 p.m. Thursday at the White Building — and it will be open to fans.

The Nittany Lions will compete in six events.

Men’s hockey

PSU-Minnesota time announced

UNIVERSITY PARK The Penn State-Minnesota series is set to air on BTN at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 23 and 7 p.m. Feb. 24, the university announced Wednesday.

Penn State will honor its 2018 senior class with a pregame ceremony prior to the Feb. 23 game.
