Beaver Stadium, Pegula Ice Arena ranked among nation’s top 100 stadium experiences

Penn State is the country’s lone college or university with two athletic facilities ranked in North America’s Top 100 stadium experiences for 2017.

Beaver Stadium and Pegula Ice Arena were ranked Nos. 23 and 71, respectively, by Stadium Journey — who asked 100 writers to provide their top 10 stadiums. Votes were then compiled into a Top 100 list.

Pegula Ice Arena was the only collegiate hockey venue listed in Stadium Journey’s Top 100. Beaver Stadium, the nation’s second-largest facility, was No. 6 among college football stadiums.

“We are proud of our facilities, but it’s our outstanding alumni, students and fans who make the atmosphere at our home events among the best in the nation,” Brad Keen, Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing, said in a statement. “The passion, pride and enthusiasm Penn Staters provide for our student-athletes make a significant impact at all our venues.”
