Penn State women’s swimming: State College’s Anna Farnsworth among new recruits

State College graduate Anna Farnsworth is among four added to the Penn State women’s swimming recruiting class for this fall.

Farnsworth was a double-medalist in March at the PIAA Championships, finishing sixth in the 100-yard backstroke and eighth in the 100 butterfly. She also competed in two relays.

She and three others were anounced Tuesday as the newest additions to the Nittany Lion roster, with Mackenzie Cornell (Germantown, Md.), Taylor Kramer (Naperville, Ill.) and Bridget Moody (Port Washington, N.Y.). Earlier additions to the class included Taylor Cameron (Burlington, Ontario), Casey Francis (East Meadow, N.Y.), Mackenzie Hornibrook (West Chester), Arielle Krigger (Wexford), Hannah Matheson (Skillman, N.J.), Katie Saloky (Bloomsburg), Stefanie Schmidt (Victoria, British Columbia), Katelyn Sowinski (Severna Park, Md.), Kerry Treusdell (Churchville, Md.), Annie Valentine (Dearborn, Mich.) and Megan Wujciak (West Caldwell, N.J.).
