PSU trio win field hockey regional honors

The Penn State field hockey team saw Aurelia Meijer, Brooke Birosik and Skyler Fretz named to the Longstreth/NFHCA Division I Mideast All-Region team on Monday by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association.

Birosik led the Nittany Lions with 11 goals to go with three assists, Meijer paced the team with seven assists to go with six goals and Fretz started every game as a back on defense.

They helped the Nittany Lions to a 9-10 record, 4-4 in the Big Ten, this fall.
