The Nittany Lions’ 2016 outdoor schedule was announced on Tuesday, which has Penn State slated for 11 meets in seven different states starting in early April.
Penn State will open its season when it visits Tempe, Ariz. for the Pac-12/Big Ten two-day challenge.
The Nittany Lions will then split squads the following weekend, traveling to the Stanford Invite and Florida Relays on April 1-2.
The rest of the April is as follows: Pepsi Invite (April 9), Bucknell Classic (April 16-17), Texas Invitational (April 16), Stanford Twilight (April 22) and Penn Relays (April 28-30).
The Nittany Lions return to Happy Valley for the Jim Thorpe Invite, their only home meet of the year, on May 6.
Then comes the championship portion of the season.
The Big Ten Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be held in Lincoln, Neb. on May 13-14, followed by the NCAA postseason, starting up with East First Round from May 26-28.
The year will conclude at the USA Junior Championships & 2016 Olympic Trials in Eugene, Ore., on June 24-26 and July 1-10.
