Penn State women’s gymnastics ranked 17th in preseason poll

The Nittany Lions are ranked 17th in the National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches/Women Preseason Coaches’ Poll, which was announced Tuesday.

Penn State is one of nine Big Ten squads in the poll. The highest ranked team is Michigan at seventh.

The Nittany Lions finished the 2015 season ranked No. 22, marking the 13th consecutive year Penn State has finished among the top-25 nationally.

Penn State opens its 2016 campaign with a double dual meet against North Carolina State at 4 p.m. on Jan. 9.
