Penn State picks up first conference win
The Nittany Lions trumped Illinois 430.200-429.200 on Saturday for their first Big Ten victory of the season.
Penn State posted season-high scores on floor exercise (73.250), pommel horse (70.300), still rings (72.650) and parallel bars (72.050).
Penn State’s Dominic DiFulvio tallied a career-high 85.500 in his first-ever all-around victory, and Alexis Torres finished third with an 84.750.
Penn State is off for a week before traveling to Ohio State on Feb. 13.
