Penn State swimmer earns honor

Melissa Rodriguez earned CollegeSwimming.com Big Ten Swimmer of the Week honors after her final performance in McCoy Natatorium last weekend.

The Penn State senior took both of her individual events in last Saturday’s dual meet with Villanova. Rodriguez finished in 1 minute, 2.11 seconds in the 100-yard breaststroke and touched the wall in 2:15.30 in the 200 breaststroke.

Penn State will travel to Ann Arbor, Mich., for the Big Ten Championships from Feb. 18-20.
