Nittany Lions edge Buckeyes in women’s gymnastics

Paced by a 1-2 finish in the all-around, Penn State topped No. 23 Ohio State 195.925-195.675 at St. John Arena on Saturday afternoon.

Kierra Brown earned her first career all-around title with a 39.325 total, while Briannah Tsang was next at 39.300.

Brown led on the uneven bars with a 9.925, followed by Sabrina Garcia in second at 9.825. Garcia also tied for first on the vault at 9.775. Tsang tied for the win in the floor exercise at 9.900 while Brown was third, and Mason Hosek was best on the balance beam at 9.900.

The Nittany Lions return to Rec Hall next Saturday, hosting No. 4 Alabama, No. 12 Denver and Cornell.
