Penn State’s Knief on CLASS Award list
Penn State’s Lexi Knief is one of 30 softball players who were nominated for the Senior CLASS Award.
The honor goes to college seniors at an NCAA Divison I school who have shown excellence in the community, classroom, character and competition — Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School.
Knief has started 136 games and appeared in 149, batting .364 for her career, which ranks on the program’s all-time list. She has 150 hits, 22 doubles and 10 triples. She hit .417 last season, third in program history for a single season, with a single-season-record 75 hits.
She also holds a 3.4 GPA in broadcast journalism.
