Nittany Lion earns pair of awards

After a standout performance against Duquesne, Penn State’s Madison Carter received the Big Ten Co-Offensive Player and Freshman of the Week awards Tuesday.

Carter scored four goals and had an assist in the Nittany Lions’ 19-5 win over Duquesne on Saturday. She also picked up three ground balls, had four draw controls and forced two turnovers.

No. 6 Penn State takes on No. 10 Virginia on the road at noon Saturday.
